Hi everyone.

I have a 3.0U Wii with a genuine Wiikey, which, like many, will not accept the 1.9b or 1.9s update. I am therefore unable to check the Wiikey firmware, as I bought it already attached to a second-hand Wii.

I have a simple question. Short of disconnecting the wiikey, how can I make sure that Region Override is turned OFF, so that I can upgrade the Wii firmware with the 3.2U (ie, from the correct region).

I have a feeling that when I run the 1.2 config disk, it just throws random info at me (ie. Region Override turned OFF by default), as I have played games from different regions without probs.

To me, the 1.2 config disk seems to do nothing, as I am unable to check that it actually did what it claimed to do.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Yes on the wiikey 1 when you run the config disks it always loads up to the default options when setting it up, however if you change the options and save settings then in theory thats what the settings will be. assuming you dont have a clone.

The wiikey 2 now allows you to read the config information on the wiikey with the config disk, i love that feature.
