join nzb matrix http://nzbmatrix.com/index.php free (you can pay for better serviice but free will surfice) this provides you with .nzb files (thank of them as the equivilent to .torrent files)



get a binary newsreader http://www.altbinz.net/ is a good free one 

though i recommand sabnzbd+ (also free) if you have your own linux server (this is the equivilent of your bit torrent client) 



then you need news group access for that theres no better then giganews http://www.giganews.com this costs i think £20 a month (i really dont miss the money and its worth every penny as you get ssl connection so your isp has no idea what ur doing)



the advantages are;

above mentioned ssl

you get your connections full speed (im on a 20meg line with virgin i get my full 2.3megs a second thats a 360 game in under an hour)

no sharing (so no one sees your ip and no need to seed for hours)

most posts have par2 files these fix missing or damaged parts

most newsnet programs will extract the file at the end (sabnzbd+ will even email you when its done)



the disadvantages are;

its not free 

it takes a little getting used to
