I'm new at this. I have no idea what i am doing. I am trying to copy my dvd to either a backup dvd (to play in my APEX) or to dvix if that's not possible. I have windowsXP, and a cd burner. I have tried to go to TMPGne, (and lots of other download sites.) When I get there it always confuses me. It'll say insert disk, when I do it dosn't let me get to the dvd file. (E:/)
So I need to know how exactly to copy a dvd, the easiest way possible. I can't watch dvd's on my computer only divx, i belibe.

Buy a DVD player for your computer.

I hate to be rude but take your computer back to the store where you bought it.

Send me all your DVDs in the mail and I'll be sure to return them to you with perfect DVD-R copies or in Mpeg4 if you prefer. Make sure you send me ones I don't have too.
