thanks des
i didnt want to start a new thread askign the samething!
is it still the case that nobody has their box working yet then? i've seen some people say they have theirs back working by manually entering codes etc...
i have tried this but it didnt work, so im guessing the vast majority have the same problem and hardly anybody has things workign again yet?
if this is the case il just wait patiently..
thanks

Have 'stickied' this one, hopefully at least a few will read before posting now..
I had to close (far too) many threads down earlier today. This was not just due to the sheer amount of people 'panic-posting before reading'; it was more to do with the amount of chancers we've had join the site today, posting codes and similar. Have had to hide a fair few threads as well because of this.
The moderators here do not have the DVB knowledge that the regular posters have, hence why i/we couldn't comment on what has been happening here in the UK today.
I'm glad Des has posted this one, i'm happy to sticky it if it helps bring some order to the chaos.
What i won't entertain however are any further insults directed at myself or other moderators, nor any more rule breaking. I apologise if anybody feels they have been labelled as a 'code beggar' or feels insulted in any way. ..But rules are rules, and we've had a nice and respectful couple of DVB forums for the last few months, it took quite a while to eradicate the code begging/rule abuses that had sneaked in previously.
Please see this thread entitled "NO CODE POSTING ALLOWED" -
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/662154
Here's the forum description which has been the same since the forum was created - "This forum is intended for all DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T -related stuff, such as capturing DVB-C/T/S streams, converting them to DVD, SVCD, receiver comparisons, PVR and VDR discussion etc. Absolutely no piracy/descrambler discussions allowed!"
I'm sure Des and the other regulars will update this thread as and when they have more info. Please do not panic-post/clutter up this thread with repetitive questions, let the regulars do their thing...

Manual update is the only way for now, but as per forum rules we cannot post info relating to this. And as said people need space to work on it ;)
