Opinion needed on this. no i do not wish to start a plasma lcd war. at the moment i have some crap 22 sdtv. also do the hdmi cables really matter
i am 90% sure i will be picking this specific tv up soon if not today sometime.
just need last second opinions

Contrast raito is low but other than that, looks good. You do not HAVE to have HDMI, just easier to hook up. HDMI and Componet are about the same as far a video. Either will do. Composite sucks compaired to HDMI and Componet. Enjoy. Heck of a step up from your 22sdtv

There have been Many test compairing Monster Brand against Cheap HDMI cables. No difference. I have a $15 HDMI cable from Wal-Mart. Works great.

I had to ask the same questions 2 years ago when I got my PS3 and HDTV. Cant learn without asking. Paying back.

Dang, that's a pretty sick price for 42" with 1080p. The contrast ratio isn't all that great as someone already mentioned, but its better than a lot of others in the same price range.

Vizo isn't a bad set. Have had the 37" for a year and don't have any complaints. Have a X-box hook up to it and it works great. For HDMI cables check out monoprice.com. Cheap $ but decent cables especially if you are looking at longer than standard lengths
