I know Im getting a white slim and light psp 2000 for christmas and I know it was bought from argos.

My question what kind of firmware will it have on it as I was reading in the pandora guide that some recent psps are unhackable.

I know the psp 3000 is unhackable which is why I told my girlfriend to get the 2000 and now I find out it may be unhackable.

Anybody know.

You're asking a question that no one can answer. In the past you used to be able to tell the firmware based on the bar code on the box. But now theres no way to tell the firmware without actually opening up the box and turning on the PSP.

the same thing happend to me i hve the product replacement plan from best buy and everytime i want a new psp i brick it on purpose (and i have a pandora battery and magic mem stick) and i got an unhackable one and the frimware it started on was 4.01 OFW so if its that or above i imagine its unhackable, then i exchanged the unhackable 1 for another that luckily was hackable and its OFW was 3.95 so that or lower is probably hackable and..................

If the packaging isnt clear its good hope i helped
