I've been having a strange problem every since I've updated from 3.71 cfw to 3.80 and higher. All functions (playing UMDS, Isos/Csos) are fine, but when I use the sleep function (the one that allows you to resume from where you left off after you turn the PSP back on), about 50% of the time, rather than opening to where it was before, the backlight would turn on for about 5-7 seconds (screen still remains black), and the PSP will hard shut off. The next time the PSP is turned on, it it does the Sony logo -> blue menu screens as per usual.

This problem presisted through all of the firmware updates (3.80, 3.90, and 4.01) and I even used the MS/Pandora to revert back to 3.71 to see if the problem persists (which it does). Problem occurs during both UMD and Iso usage.

Not sure what else I can do to diagnose this problem. Unfortunately, search didn't turn up with anything, so I would appreciate any help to this problem.
