Your .ini file is fine. First thing, you need to make sure that once your chip is installed you flash it with a new bios. If you have done this already, then here is how you make an evox boot disk.

*note you do not burn this disk the same way your burn the bios disk...this is a common mistake*

first you need to get a program called CRAXTION. download this, and then open it, you need to create an ISO of all your evox files. To do this, you need to make a folder. Name this folder EVOX ISO, in this folder you will put your default.xbe, evox.ini, and a folder that contains a dummy file of around 200MB. The dummy file MUST be in its own folder. I usually name this folder: abc.dat, you arrange these files like so:

Default.xbe---File
evox.ini---FILE
abc.dat---FOLDER
dummy.dat---DUMMY FILE(in abc.dat folder)

once you have all of these files in the same folder (named: evox iso) You open CRAXTION and create an ISO of this folder. Once CRAXTION has done its thing, you will end up with one big file-this is the ONLY file you burn to the cd. It doesnt matter what this file is named.

To burn:
Open Nero 5 and GO TO THE FILE MENU AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN. In this menu select BURN IMAGE. It will then ask you to open an image file, and you will select your ISO you have just made with CRAXTION. Click open, and another screen will come up asking what speed to burn at ect... Select the slowest speed you possibly can, make sure the write and finalize options are slected and click burn. Then pop your CD in and off you go.

**also to note, the Xbox is picky when it comes to what CD-RWs it reads. You may need to try different brands of Cd-RWs before you find one that works.**

hope this helps, its like 1 in the morning and im sleepy so if anything I have said is unclear then just say so.

Hey i have the same problem. I have a mod chip installed and i flashied my bios with xecuter 2, on boot up it says xecuter 2 under the xbox logo where it used to say microsoft.

I can't seem to be able to load evox no matter what i do. I have burned cd-rw's dvd+r dvd+rw which my xbox has been able to read in the past but not now. I have burned the evox from an xiso using Nero and have tried like 1000 dufferent ways of burning it but to no luck. Is it just the media i use ? memorex cd's/dvd's ?

ok i got to boot the evo disk. this is how i burned it. use a cd-rw{thats what worked for my samsung drive}, get craxtion, if you dont have it download it from somewhere, after you have done that, you need to create a new folder in your desktop, label it "evolution" or what ever you want. in this folder, put the evodash.xbe,<*you are going to rename this file to Default.xbe and the evox.ini file. you also need to make a 200mb dummy file. do this by getting the "dummy file" program. add that dummy file into the folder that you had your other two files in. open up craxtion, click on file and iso creation mode. next click on add look for the folder you have your three files in "the one you created" and double click it. than hit next. select a place where your .iso is going to. than hit finish, its goin to say something about xbe patched succesfull! or something like that, than youll see your file, click on create iso[isos] on the lower right hand side, now you should have a perfect evolution.iso ready to burn with any program that can burn .iso format. i chose record now max(stomp) and it worked, but it didnt worked with a regular cd-r.. just with a cd-rw. now im stuck trying to network my damn xbox thru the crossover cable.damn
