I recently purchased a modded Xbox 360 from someone on Craigslist. It came with a bunch of burned games which all play fine. I have since tried to download torrents and burn the ISOs to discs, but none of them work. I believe I'm burning them correctly, but I get two types of screens. One says to "Clean your disc" the other gives me a message in English and Japanese to "Put in an Xbox 360 disc". The question is, is my 360 modded correcty? In other words, if your 360 can play backups can it play all backups? Is there a way to check to see how my 360 is modded? Am I missing an update? Thanks for reading!

A flashed 360 will play backups with the same region code as your system (Probably NTSC) and all region free games PAL or NTSC. You cannot burn the ISO file to a DVD+R DL and it work. There are a couple of things that you must do.

1. Ensure you are using DVD+R DL and not -R's (Only +R DL work)
2. Create a .dvd file in the folder using notepad.
a. Open notepad
b. type LayerBreak=1913760 (first line)
(Name of the ISO file).iso (second line)
c. Save the notepad (Name of the ISO file).dvd
so if you are burning monopoly it would read
LayerBreak=1913760
monopoly.iso
and save the notepad as monopoly.dvd (save in the same folder
as the ISO file)
3. Finally right click on the .dvd file and select burn with ImgBurn
I only use Verbatim (preferred) or Memorex (some people don't
like them)
