Hello all - - I have purchased both Lego Star Wars and Lego Star Wars II for PC, but have not installed them yet. The purpose of this is twofold. First, I have heard some discussion regarding issues with the Securom software, and something called UAService 7. Before I installed anything, I wanted to get some feedback from this community. Secondly, I have a child who is computer savvy, loves to play games, but is not as careful as I would like with putting games back in cases. Scratches galore. Lessons learned.
I plan on making backup copies of these games using Blindwrite 6, and then installing the backup copies on my computer. The original disks will not be installed - they will be put up on my shelf!
My questions are
1. Should I have Blindwrite EZ-play enabled during burning and later game playing of the backups?
2. If I were to install the backup copies, and then use these for gameplay, what problems would I encounter? What software/measures would I need to play them? I read somewhere that the Securom 7x will not install/play programs if you have Blindwrite and other similar software installed. As noted, I have Blindwrite installed.
3. Or, if I were to instead create iso copies on the hard drive, and then use Daemon Tools to play the games on virtual drives, would I have any problems with this? Would Daemon Tools suffice, or would I need additional software.
