Ok I'm at a difficult part in Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core in the last few missions before Minerva where I die in one hit and so I want to give myself more SP so I can upgrade my stats a little

Does anyone have any experience with SaveGame Deemer and hex editing? I followed a guide here but it was created for use with the US version of the game but I tried it anyway with no results. Thanks,

why not download the cwcheat plugin and use some cheat codes?

Ah well I own an Australian version of Crisis Core. There's no cwcheat codes for it yet.

well its up to you, you can get a version like a us release and get it in iso or umd since you have a modded psp you can change the region though i dont think you really need to since i think psp is region free anyway; that has plenty of codes made for it or you can go the hard way and learn how to hex psp game saves

So if i got a US version I would have to start from scratch as I wouldn't be able to load my save file right? As the versions are different.

yea most likely; you could try using the save game you have you may need to rename the directory its in to the game id of the us version but its only a 15-20 hr game and if you use cheats it would only be like 7-10 hr atleast to beat it anyway then they have new game + for finishing all the side quests and what not
