Hi total noob here ive been reading the messages on this topic since the boxes went down and took note about code begging/wait for the guys to do there work etc etc so dont shoot me down before I start, this is my 1st post. Im a little confused by the line in the fixes thread:

EDIT: Starview Box 3 Fix - Sunday 30th @14.35 -> http://www.4shared.com/account/dir/30426...lmgFEBduDwF6e#/

I cant work out whether this fix is for all Starview boxes or just genuine ones or 3rd gen and I dont want to fry mine. I have a Starview clone, is the updated firmware for the clones included in this link and if so, which bin file do I need to upload to my clone box?

Cheers

I think they need to do a specific firmware to each box, so far its been quick work so I wouldn't imagine it being a long wait but even if it was its worth it as they offer their advice and software up for free.

I've got a Staview 2 Box and I imagine there will be a specific software for that out soon, until then I won't install any other stuff onto my box and I suggest you do the same, especially as yours is a clone mate.

Hold back and see what happens, hopefully this thread can remain open.

The only Starview fix out at the moment is for the Starview 3 The Box Super (SV3) genuine, plus of course a few other box's, i am not very optimistic about a fix for any of the clones, but never say never, you never Know. All the fix's will be announced on here as and when they come out >>>

malci can you shed any light on why you think the starview clone may not get a fix? I have had mine a couple of years now and besides the fact i've had to fettle it a couple of times it's been fine and still is!

I am really holding out hope that some techno genius will pull us clone owners out of the mire once again so come on boys you've done it before!! So let's have that clone fix!!

Cheers! Dez

Can't shed any light Dez, apart from what I said in my post, the fix's have really been a gesture of goodwill, and I hope that there is another somewhere along the line, but I am not optimistic!! but I did say Never say Never, cheers and good luck.

Evening Antoinette, yes it has but I have missed the last 36 hrs or so, had a complete PC crash when I got that sorted, lost all the bleeding TV and BB, just got back.
