I am constantly getting this message when I try to do the encode to the hard drive. It sometimes freezes on 0% or gets the message at 99%.
I also tried using DVDFab and then opening the files with DVDShrink and I get the same problem.

What kind of details do you want. I try to encode the disc until it gives the error at 99%. I have told you the different ways I have tried it. What else would you like to know.

What is the title of the disk you are trying to shrink? Did you run fixvts before shrink?

No I did not run that program and it is DVDFab 5, free version.
And it is a charmed series disc. I did the 1st one of this series no worries.

Hi, dvdfabHD is up to 5122, so you may need to update the program

The updated version does seems to do nothing more to the files than the old version. And that other program didnt help either.
Thanks for the help I will just take it as a lost cause.

Sounds like the ever present 'bad disk' syndrome. Best bet is to try and exchange it if you can. If not, then you may be stuck with it.

Definitely sounds like a bad disc... hopefully you could exchange..
Did all 8 seasons with no problem.. AnyDVD in the background, Shrink and burned with DVD Decrypter..
(yes, I know, upgrade to ImgBurn.. I do have it, but haven't had any problems so far, only use with Shrink.)

It could be that the disc is just too damaged for the reader. I've had my drive not be able to read discs because of scratches. You could try using another burner if you can get access to one. I've had times were my desktop wouldn't work with the movie. Then I'd try it in my Macbook running Windows with Bootcamp and have had success.
