I have just bought a pioneer 107 DVD burner after looking at the forums on this site as it seemed to be the best so big thanks. But now i am trying to buy DVD-R and to be honest all the different codes like G03 G04 dye and yellow and pink are confusing the hell out of me. What does all this mean? from a total newbie.

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been posted before I have looked and couldnt find a good answer

Yellow and pick is irrelevant, just the colour of the labels. What you are looking for is RiDATA Ritek G04 discs. They are the bees knees of discs for that drive. You can use a Firmware up-date that will allow these 4x discs to burn flawlessly at 8x like i do
