The box super-still no channels

I recently purchased the box super sv3 and flashed it but i never got any channels and assumed its because of the recent problems in uk. I have now reflashed it with the box super fix "GTrom_super 8.02e" but still cannot get any channels. its just scanning a total of 28 channels which are all failing. Is there more firmware that i need?
my sys info is as follows:
API ver: 8.02eE
Boot ver:8.00

dont search with a splitter? allso make sure ur searching the right line.. NTL CW and so on.. i pay for the small offer from virgin media so i get 450+..
if they are scrambled turn EMU on (Menu > press 1570 > EMO on)

I am using Ntl as my provider for my area "Peterborough, England". What do you mean when you say "dont search with a splitter?". I am not getting any channelsb at all

Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

if you only getting apox 34 channels then most likely you havent installed properly using the gtrom loader...you could possibly have unplugged the null cable before its finished writing...34 channels means only free to air channels and radio channels...it wont harm to reinstall from loader ,follow the procedure in the starview firmware updating link found in scouser or hiteck's threads,and make sure you factory reset after that before you scan...if you get mostly fails,i.e when scanning you should get an initial 6% reading at the bottom of the screen,which will then go to 2% and the shoot up...if you dnt,then try another network..hope that helps

gardener: I have used the same guide as the one on the link you gave
me until it said download completed already. Thats why i am confused because i followed it and it flashed but on connecting to tv and scanning for channels nothing happens.

What am missing? I downloaded the firmware and flashed the box
following the guide notes and the download was complete.
I then connected the box to the tv, making sure my artenna cable
goes into the cable input socket on the box. connected the scart lead
as instructed. I then do the auto installation, chosing my provider
as i researched to be Ntl. The scanning then starts with a total of 28
channels which all fail, i cant even get BBC1. I try to exit but cannot
get past the laungage menu. I have done the factory reset
and scanned again and again but no change. My parental control is greyed
out assuming its because i have no channels. I have gone into the CAS menu,
turn the EMU: ON, but no joy
i have used the recent GTrom_super_8.02eFix
my sys info is:
Api ver: 8.02e
Boot ver:8.00

I am buffled and confused, Please help.

maybe a stupid question but you do have a virgin media line installed dont you? this wont work on a sky dish or other antenna.

ok guys im downloading the correct stuff the channels are coming up however -i dont need to autoscan -i just change to correct provider (please help me as i think it will just go off again is there away i can just remove the firmware and start again)

Got them back by doing this
Turn the b0x off at the back for a min, turn it back on & leave it on s*y sports & see if it updates. If not Go up one channel & it might kick in.
