i just got an ethernet cable for xbox live but when i plug it into my linksys 2.4 ghz broadband router model wrt54g with a 3com home connect modem , the xbox live test says it has newtork adaptor connectivity an ip address but when it gets to the DNS test it fails, anyone with any ideas? the help is greatly appreciated

Try rebooting the modem, then the router.

i use to have that problem with the dns, i put it in manually and havent had a problem since!
