I bought swap magic 3.6 back in August with a fliptop for my slim PS2 v14. Unfortunately, neither the swap magic CD or DVD work (and never have). When I put either in, the ps2 makes an unpleasant grinding noise (the PS2 runs all other discs quietly), and most times the ps2 will keep reading and reading the disc until finally giving me a disc read error. Sometimes, however, about once in a blue moon, it will load. However, whenever I put in my original Tales of Rebirth disc, it always says it's not a valid PS2 disc. However, when I put in the North American version of Odin Sphere in upon getting the swap magic screen, it loaded just fine.

Are my discs defective? If not, what can I do to remedy this issue?

Additionally, neither the swap magic discs nor the Tales of Rebirth disc are scratched; all three are in mint condition. My PS2 presents no problems outside of this.
