I have had a preinstalled version of nero on my pc since new (8months ago) its version 5.5.10.7 trigem.

I have previously used kazaa for mp3 files and had no problem burning, i havent p2p for a few months and then decided this week to give limework a try - downloaded mp3 fine, but burning is taking 30 mins before i give up - same for both albums and a single track. The cdr starts up but never burns...i tried just to copy some word txt files to cd to see if they worked but they take 15-20 mins (2kb file!!!) and still havent got 10% burn....

Is my nero corrupt - i cant burn anything at the moment or is there a confliction somewhere - my device manager is clear
