has anyone tried to recieve sat chans with their ev box, if so how plz

I have 1 meter dish with tecnomate its pointing to 42*E.I pluged my Eurovox max v it came as NO SIGNAL.Does anybody know do i need a different software

no idea but i dont even know if the box send the voltage to the lnb to make it work
