re:chain of memories audio stutter

hi, I bought swap magic so that I could play re:chain of memories, because it isn't getting a release here.

The game boots and plays fine, but the audio in the cutscenes skips

This seems strange because the video plays fine, its just the audio that skips and just on the cutscenes

is this an issue with this particular game, or a general issue with ntsc games on a pal ps2?

or is it just a faulty disk (seems unlikely seeing as it is only the audio which skips, and not the whole game)

anyone else have this problem?

Am I going to have to buy a us ps2?!!?

I think my ps2 model is v14
