What do I do now? Just bought some new Verbatim dl's and I can't burn any backups???
Just to make certain that your drive can burn DL+r's..open ImgBurn and in write mode click on tools then select Drive then select Capabilities This pic shows decrypter..but it's the same, you should get a box up like the one below. Does it say you can burn that media?
Your 4 year old burner may not be able to handle today's newer DL media. You may need MKM-001 discs. You could also try updating your firmware to A117.
