I installed 4.01 m33-2 using DCv7, but when trying to play any homebrew or iso's the system hangs on the PSP logo screen. I have to take out the battery to shut the unit off. Another symptom is that when I go into Recovery mode, everything works except when I select Exit at the end, it just hangs saying "exiting recovery". I tried the same homebrews with the same Memory Stick in another PSP and they load fine.

Also, the UMD does not recognize at all. I suspect my UMD drive is damaged and interfering with the game loading, because when games try to load, I can feel a chugging as though the UMD drive is spinning.

Can anyone offer some advice?

press select
change umd mode to sony np9660
