Hi,
I'm a newbie and a bit overwhelmed by this. I'm trying to sort this out for my son, who's at work all day. I've downloaded the firmware and read the tutorial, but it asks for a .BIN file which I haven't got. Is it available yet? If so, where can I download it from? Thanks in advance.

If its saying its a Bin file then you have downloaded the wrong firmware, are you reading this guide,

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/674371

If you clicked on the correct firmware it would have given you this Firmware,

BTW this Firmware is for the UK ONLY.

Hi, HiTeck,
Thanks for the reply. I've downloaded the correct link and I have 2 files - an owner's guide and a file called UFL_EX1000SL_DarX_01-12-08. The tutorial asks me to "Browse for the Eurovox .BIN file supplied here". But I don't have a .BIN file. I haven't actually connected the box to the PC yet for fear of causing damage. Will it make a difference when it's connected?

Forget the guide thats in there it's outdated, open the UFL and follow the eurovox flashing guide as linked above.

Edit, Snap Mate ;)

Don't know whether HiTeck may have had to go , the UFL is a unified firmware and loader, (ALL IN ONE), in other words you do not browse for a BIN file to flash your box, you just press DOWNLOAD, it must be an old tutorial you are looking at.

Thanks everyone for the help. I'll wait until my son's home from work to do it. I'll let you know how I get on.
Thanks again.

I'm pleased to report that it's now working! I saved the CFD file to the PC, but couldn't download it to the receiver, so I was concerned about that. However, it soon became apparent that there was no need to do it, because the box is now working exactly as before. Thanks very much, you guys. Much appreciated.
