hey, i got a nintendo wii. its modded with wiikey v2.

so far ive burned a game and i get the error unable to read disk. i assume it must be because of the cheap general purpose media i have used. soooo.

what blank media works best with Nintendo wi?
if i update the firmware on the wii, will this eefect the wii?

Try burning at a slower speed, 2x or 4x. Also if you have wiikey v2, get the latest update/config disk from http://www.wiikey.cn/resources/

Updating the firmware will effect installing WAD files if you choose to do that. The latest firmware is 3.4 . Firmware greater than 3.3 block installing WADs, but don't effect playing backups on the wiikey.

what are wad files?

and Ive sorted the game isshue, was putting disk in wrong way lol. only got the wii this morning lol.
