Is This A Problem With The Media I'm Using?

So I have a newly flashed Samsung 360 and having some issue that I think are related to the media I am using - FujiFilm DVD+R DL.

I know that flash worked fine because it does boot every game I burn. The problem is that the 360 seems to have issues reading the discs and even makes some odd ticking noises at times.

Out of the 3 discs I have tried all boot and are recognized fine but when I try to install the game on to my HD it usually gets to around 40% and then the xbox really struggles to finish the install. I have had one game finsih the install and work the other 2 got to a point that they were ticking enough that I shut the 360 off.

I burned the disc with imgburn at 2.4x. Does this sound like a media issue? Everytime I go to buy some Verbatims they are out so I haven't been able to try them yet.

use newegg.com to buy the verbatims if you can't get them locally

the symptons you describe, i.e. installing to HD hanging at 40% are very indicative of problems with the media... i've had that before when i was using non-verbatim disks...

if you switch over to verbatims those problems should clear up
