Hello all,

I have a quick question regarding the 3.4e update.

I currently have a modded wii with the D2Pro installed, and the most current chip firmware.

I only ever use Pal backups or originals, so i was wondering would it be safe to update to 3.4e?

Does this affect the chip or playing of backups?

None of my backups are trucha signed and i never use homebrew or WADS.

Thanks in advance for your help

If all you do is play backup games from your home region and dont do any homebrew then the 3.4 update wont effect you. I still would not do it though since 3.4 adds the ability for nintendo to install further updates without your consent. So if they ever did find a way to block modchips you wouldnt have the option to not install that update.
