Can someone please help me install cfw on my psp.The original firmware is 2.82.I sort of under stand you need to downgrade to 1.50 and then upgrade to a new firmware but I dont understand if you have to downgrade r 1.50 official or cfw and then upgrade to cfw or official.As you can probably tell i am a complete newb so please take it slow

Use the guide found HERE for downgrading your psp to 1.50...scroll to 'I would like to downgrade a....' and click the show button under '-2.81-3.03 Any Motherboard'

Using this method will downgrade your psp to 1.50 and from there you will need to install custom firmware (latest version 5.00M33-4)
A wonderful guide for installing the firmware updates can be found HERE

So think of it like this:
2.82 OFW->1.50 OFW->3.52M33-4 CFW->5.00M33-4 CFW

dont forget to install the 1.50 kernel add-on for 5.00 when you are all done or your homebrew wont work.
