I just found the new RE5 demo on Usenet and I'm wondering if anyone knows if this could potentially cause a ban from Microsoft. I think the Demo is from Japan and I'm not sure if it's even officially released in America yet. Anyone tried out of region demos in the past and had any problems with banning?

I've actually downloaded demos from other regions and haven't had any problems. Like I remember they were releasing Rainbow Six Vegas demo to Germany first, so I just got it by making an account with that region.

I thought they fixed this, but obviously not, because last night when the demo went live in Japan, I created a new account, and set the region to Japan. I got the demo, and it plays just fine. Game is in English, just when you access the demo, it's in Japanese.

But it's an interesting game. Really tough first time through, but it's Resident Evil!

I remember the the RE4 demo and this one seems a lot tougher. I only tried it out once and will put much more time into it. Resident Evil is my favorite series of all time.
