I have encountered a recently new problem. When i burn a movie using shrink, it does everything fine etc, but when i go to play it on any (I have tried 3!) compatible dvd player for the burnt dvd, it starts the movie on what the player says is 2:48 minutes but in reality is something like 40 minutes into the video!!!

I cannot think as to what the problem is. It was arisen pretty much of its own accord as things were working fine before. Interestingly, this has happened as soon as i changed to a new pack of DVD's but everything is compatible with everything else so i dont know.

Iam using the latest nero, dvd shrink and internet explorer 7 is loaded (just in case IE8 was interfering)

any advice is appreciated

You're not burning with Nero through DVD Shrink are you?

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

auto burning with nero 8 or above causes playback problems when using dvd shrink. dvd shrink does not support nero 8 or 9 autoburning! use imgburn or revert back to nero 7 to autoburn

or

its a poor quality media problem, use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning at 6x to 8x max

There's a sticky for setting up Shrink to autoburn with Imgburn.
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/664041

You could also just set Shrink to make an ISO then burn manually with either Imgburn or Nero. This is the preferred method for those who like to check their work before burning.
