Here is the situation I have. When trying to rip with DVD shrink, I click on the ISO file option right before I ok everything. I have always used ISO then Nero to burn my movies. My computer crashed so I had to re install everything. When I begin to burn and the file is done it is not an iso file. It is in a zipped win rar file. I am able to open it and look at my audio and video files separate. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with this problem. Thank you.

Open up WinRAR ==> Hit Ctrl+S to get to Settings ==> Click the "Integration" tab ==> Untick the box for ISO in the Associate with WinRAR column. See if that fixes the problem.

Thank you that seemed to work. The other problem I am having is with Nero. I have the iso file ready to burn. I begin burning and it stays on 1% for 3 minutes, then it finishes burning but at the very end gives me an error.

The exact error is burn process failed at 16.1x

Please post a burn log for us to look at. For normal backing up, 16x is too fast and is likely to induce errors.

Providing a burn log will fill in all necessary blanks.

As stated, you're burning too fast. Try at 8x just for poo-poos and ha-ha's.

Try imgburn to burn the iso's. Imgburn (imho) is the best
