Original Mario Kart.

Hey everybody,

I just recently downgraded my Wii from 3.3U to 3.2U using the TP hack. Since I updated after Oct.23 I had to use the other method with the hacked cIOS. After going through that process I was able to use to downgrader. What I noticed today was, when I went to put my original Mario Kart game in, it asked me to do an update. Can someone confirm is this is safe, or will it upgrade to 3.4U? Otherwise, does this mean I can't play the original any longer?

It certainly wont update it to 3.4 since the disk contains the 3.2 update.

My guess is that due to some quirk in the downgrade process the game isnt seeing that you have 3.2 installed despite the fact that you do have it. Running the update again shouldnt cause any problems and you should still be at 3.2.
