So i was modding an xbox and somehox i ****ed up and a small chip on the hard drive caught fire (lol i know go ahead say it) and any ways i wanna mod it still so is it still possible? I do have an extra hard drive. I wanna know how to install it because most tut i see have you modding your hd not switching it out for a bigger one and also the ones i do find is upgrading the hd on an already softmodded xbox which i dont have.

So basically i wanna softmod an xbox with a brand new hard drive and i dont have any of the info copied form the old hard drive thats burned up

the most i can say dude and srry i have to say it, start from scratch, its a saying no one likes, but sometimes we must face the facts. and im not gonna say stuff bc i ahve messed up on soem fo my mods as well.

no it boots up but just stays on the xbox screen for a while then it says service required with a big 07 in the corner

code 07 means harddrive not found . or the harddrive went bad . but read the post i linked for you . i believe that that will be your best bet .

im not sure how to edit on this forum so i gotta make a new post it basically comes down to this can i uses a completely different hard drive to mod and xbox and just save the (softmod) files to it without having to get info off of the original hard drive

oh ok i didnt see this before i posted ill check it out but from what i see it involves soldering lol thats bad for me

i know it wasnt pretty . the first time i read all of that i said WOAH . but i made that reader and its revived 4 xboxes that were givin to me . Happy hunting on ebay . www.gamestop.com has them for 59.99 usd . enjoy .
