Wanting a new pc my old p4 3.ghz almost 5 years old now wont play latest games. so far this is what i have come up with.

INTEL E7300 Core 2 Duo - 2.66 GHz, Cache L2 3 MB Socket 775 £89.30

case ?
wanting to play crisis, call off duty 4,5 etc

That would be a sweet build with the specs sammorris gave you, you'll love the Sapphire Radeon 4850 if you decide on going with that.. Also the Gigabyte-EP45-DS3 is a serious overclocker with a nice stable bios, i have the EP45-UD3P running a Q9550 Kensington and i couldn't be happier, it's smokin fast...

sammorris, i remember you suggested the Sapphire 4850 on a previous thread and i took your advice and made the switch from a EVGA 8800GTX, this thing runs circles around my 8800GTX... The perfomance you get from the 4850 for under 200 bucks is simply incredible..

Actually, the HD4850 is barely more than 100 dollars now :)
The 4870 can be had for 200 dollars...

Damn, i could have bought the 4870.. The card i bought was from Frys and it was the Visiontek HD 4850 for $199... They didn't have the Sapphire on there, that sucks for me..
