I have searched eBay, Amazon, Google, Yahoo, and I cannot find a PSP 2000 with no more than firmware version 1.5 running on it. In fact I may even be content with a PSP 1000 on firmware 1.50. I have searched for so long that I am asking for some help to find this item in time for Christmas. Can anyone help me out?

you cant find a psp 2000 with 1.5 firmware because a slim model was never meant to work with a 1.5 firmware, in fact it was never even released with a 1.5 firmware...
the lowest it ever came with was 3.60

Ok, can you find any PSP Slim that has firmware under a 4.01, because the 4.01 have the new motherboards that make a pandora battery impossible, therefore unhackable.
