is it possible to "back up" a tv program and then burn it onto a dvd for future watching

yes its very easy.

method 1.Buy a dvd recoder and press recorde :)

method 2.-recorde it onto a vcr tape

-take the vcr conect it to your pc and use a program that can recorde analoge,i recomend roxio (in dvd builder mode) capture the images then simply burn it onto a DVD

i thought vcr's went out with gas lamps. i was hoping for a more direct approach rather than using that magnetic tape stuff :)

Capture from PCTV card - then enocde to DVD compliant files ready for burning.

Or

DVD Recorder (stand alone unit connected to TV)

VCR is another option , but I dont like to talk analogue anymore ;-)

yeah dint think of a pctv card (oops)but the easy way of doing it is to just buy a stanalone dvd recorder

Use the link I gave, paste the binary into the correct box, then read the translation!!!!

herbs doesn't talk analogue anymore, so I thought I would use digital.

I've used many language translator sites , but never thought about binary (dunno why) !! :-)
Binary reminds me of Acorn BBC Basic computers at school (many moons ago) - hehe
