Hey guys, I have a slim 2001, just put CFW 3.71 on it today. I think I'm running most ISOs and CSOs fine, but I was wondering if my FW is too high to run most homebrew? I can run a few HB utilities, but no games or anything. I've tried putting them in the game150 folder, switching kernels, having a umd in in normal mode, etc. Is there some kind of 1.50 emulator for CFW that I can run HB with or something?

btw, I'm getting an error for this so I looked it up, the most I could find says I'm getting it because I'm trying to run HB with a psp over FW 1.52.

My other question is, I'm considering throwing 5.00 M33-4 on there but I don't really have a reason to yet. XD What are the pros/cons of this? Or are there any in between that you guys might recommend?

Thanks!

In my opinion i would leave the firmware the way it is. There really is no difference. If the new features don't affect you at all then don't upgrade. You run the risk of bricking your psp and as a result have to hack it again which is way more troublesome.
