If it's a DVD image file, try right clicking on it and try to extract the files.

Or open it with DVD Shrink (File > Open Disc Image).
Click 'Backup' and elect to save it to a file folder on the hard drive.

Else use (not free) MagicISO to extract the files.

if you have winrar or some other zip program it might be able to extract the ISO. I know winrar can do it.

But ----- It depends what it is an iso of ;)

Everybody (windows n00b types anyway) has nero.. mount the iso on one of the nero virtual drives and look into it just like any disk (ffs.. what is so hard people?)

And why would you want to "extract" the files from the ISO?

In my case, I like to extract a DVD+R iso to edit it in VobBlanker or CloneDVD to remove preview's, FBI warning's, etc, not a necessary step though. Got a feeling it's more of a rar issue here anyway.

You'd think that if someone takes the time to upload a s#!t load of GB to preserve quality, it would take a few minutes and remove the garbage before putting up a download that takes a week.

Wow, a week, even if it was a few day's, I wouldn't be trying to download, the frustration would do me in. Actually, using Newsgroups, a 4-5 G file only takes about a couple of hours on a 3 MB connection, never tried with Torrent's because of the seeding and my ISP has a pretty low cap, probably a bit longer on a good Torrent.

Just said a week,I really don't know, I never get anything that is more than around 1GB. Too much waste of time and bandwidth. But like you said, even a couple of days it would still be too much.
