I'm trying to reduce the size of an M2V file using Rempeg2, but am getting a poor quality picture on one particular film only. Done several others with no problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

what do you mean by poor quality is it blocking , got jagged edges , totally un watchable etc etc please give us a chance to answer your questions thanks

There is a shimmering/ghosting effect and a slight pause every second. I was running at a compression of 80% of the original. I've compressed other movies as low as 70% with no obvious problems.
