I've just been wondering for a while now and I would like to know if it was possible to have an 3.71 M33 or OFW 3.71 Kernal as well as a 1.50 kernal?
Surely if a 1.50 kernal casn let you play/run applications designed for 1.50 FW, why not 3.71 too? Many applications for PSP need a 3.71 FW.

My PSP is a 1000 series. It is running 5.00 M33-4.

I was also wondering if I could have the KD files for a 1.50 downgraded PSP. I think I need these for downgrading to 1.50 if I place these on a MMS
If you are running 5.00M33-4 then just make sure you have installed the 1.50 kernel add-on so you can use the homebrew apps that are geared for 1.50..As far as homebrew that requires something other than 1.50 kernel, you would place the app into the GAME5XX folder on you memory stick.
Once you place the files on your memory stick, then go ahead and change the homebrew folder in the recovery console to 5.00 rather than 1.50..Access the recovery console by first turning the psp off completely (not standby) then while powering the psp back on hold down the right shoulder button-it will bring up the recovery menu. Select 'configuration', then scroll to 'game folder homebrew (currently: _________) press the X button to change it from 1.50 to 5.00,select 'back', scoll to 'exit' and your psp will restart saving the changes you made...
As far as the files from the kd folder-those are copyrighted and cannot be distributed, not only than but using the files from another psp will cause yours to brick...If its a MMS you are looking to make, just use a program such as pandora deluxe, or a basic pandora setup such as the one found HERE but dont ever interchange files from one psp to another as each psp's idstorage is unique to the hardware thats inside.
