My Disc Drive doesnt work when I have the wiikey 2 attatched

So i got the wiikey 2 with the clip, I put it in my wii and when i turn it on i see a blue and red light flash, and then the disc drive doesnt work. i thought i messed up my wii and took it off, and the disc drive worked again........whats the problem?

I had this same problem (wiikey + wiiclip bundle), when my wiikey died on me.
Your wiikey is defective.

I think the clip only works on the D2C boards is that the board you guys have ?
