gammer 0.3 perfect installtion but..

Ok guys done everything correct for the installation for the Zelda hack etc all works fine got the homebrew channel; installed dvdx installed the backup loader channel so everything is prefect.

Updated to 3.3e and that?s cool also

So I am in the UK and I just wasted 5 dvd-r and 5 dvd+r all high quality tdk

I am using IMGburn

So what did I try I have use an external DVD writer and my laptop writer

I have also burned the 4.37gb file and also tried the patched version 3.99gb

I have burned at 4x 2x 2.4x (by the way the iso file was fifa09 and was pal)

So I pop the DVD in the wii ad load up the backup loader but I just get a error message DVD ERROR (something like that)

So anyone have any ideas why this is not working?

I had the same error (when i tried booting a game i would get "DVD Error" with some other writing overlapping it) and i fixed this by installing the cIOS 249 and 247 because the first 2 times i tried it failed at step 6 and the third i forgot to install them... i successfully installed these and then it worked :)

Just gave a memorex dvd+r at 4x and installed gamma backuploader 0.3 from homebrew channel and the game loaded but now stuck on the first screen

which has the message fifaplay 09 disc can not be read
please check manual?

no you dont need to uninstall anything (i didnt)
just do everything through hbc and wad manger and follow the html file in the zip

it worked for me

hope it helps :)

and that error is compatability between the game and backup launcher... find a compatibility list such as

Ok for all thoses who have read this topic,

I have resolved the issue with the read error and the dvd error

I went to the local store and brought maxell dvd+r and they work 100%

to play the DVDr backup games without a Mod Chip <br />

<b>What you need :<br />

1. Nintendo Wii with wii controller and nunchuck.<br />
2. Legends of Zelda Original Game<br />
3. SD Memory Card (any size) <br />
4. Shop Channel update (part of the zip)<br />
5. Homebrew Installer (part of the zip) <br />
6. IMGBurn or Nero<br /><br /><br />
<b>IF A FILENAME ISNT IN THE INSTALLER SECTION YOU DONT NEED THAT FILE FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING , BUT OTHERS DONT NEED IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE - DONT WORRY ABOUT IT </b>

<b>Stage 1 : Install homebrew Channel<br />**********************************</b><br />1. Start up the Wii with legends of Zelda and save a game. <br />2. Put the Homebrew installer onto an SD Card by unzipping it to the root <br />3. Quit the game and go to Wii Menu - Wii OPtions - Data Management - Save Data - Wii and delete the Zelda Saved File.<br />4. Click the SD card tab at the top and select the EUR file (for Europe) or US (for US) and when asked to copy to the wii system memory select Yes<br />5. Go back to the zelda game and start it - and select the saved game Twilight Hack.<br />6. Talk to the man by pressing A - and wait for an install screen<br />7. Click Accept (1 button) to all of the menus <br />8. Upon returning to the Wii menu , you will have Homebrew Installed (may need a hard reboot at this stage) <br /><br />Stage one complete !<br /><br />

The homebrew channel includes a few games like Tetris, Doom , Quake and a few more <br />
and has a Homebrew browser for anyone who wants more homebrew applications.<br />
I have also recently included the Wii MPLayer that lets you listen to streaming audio with your wii <br />
... not classy looking but it works well. mplayerwii.conf is where you find the stations now a wad installer is there too..<br />

<br /><b>Stage 2 : Install the rest<br />**************************</b><br />


1. In the homebrew channel select cIOS Installer and install that - all files required are also in the zip so it should be quick (Thanks WiiGator) If you have any issues open the SD card and swap the boot.dol in the /apps/Cios Installer/old for the main one and try again.<br />

2. IF YOU HAVE A WIRELESS CONNECTION. Go to the Homebrew Channel and select safe update 3.3 - this will update the wii with the recent nintendo releases and save you headaches in the future (Thanks tona) - its not required but is handy to have.<br />

3. Select number 6 - WAD manager and install the backup channel of your choice for 0.3 <b>(see + below)</b><br />

4. Burn your ISO to disc (no need to patch them with this version) and get ready to play games.<br />

5. Added recently is a WAD for the Mplayer channel if you want this but its not required. <br />

(Channels can be moved around by pressing A and B and dragging and dropping them)<br />

1. Go to the Homebrew Channel and look for X. Wiigaotrs ios247 installer and install that<br />
2. Look for DVDx and install that with advanced settings using ios247 - if you have used this guide from the start use this method if you you may need to install with ios249 <br />
3. Go to the Wiigators V01 Boot.dol and you should be able to play games with the version 1 loader now.<br />
4. (Optional) Go to the Wad Manager and install Loader_channel0.1.wad to have a loader on the main screen for version 1 loader.<br>

If you have any issues with the above , you can try the cios_fix_247.wad by using the wad manager to install it - I havent tried this myself or have i got a Wii to test it on but ppc_gba<br>

1. Start up the wii and go to the homebrew channel<br />
2. Go to to Homebrew channel once again and select Wii DVD Dumper (This is by Waninkoko v1.31) <br />
3. Select Wifi Network Backup<br />
4. Select the game type - usually Wii Single Layer<br />
5. On your PC/Laptop , open Firefox (IE may give errors -10056) and type in the link the Wii gives you<br />

1. Copy the 'apps/1. cIOS_Installer249' and '00000001' (to root) to their respective folders on your memory card <br />
2. Copy the BackupLoaderChannel0.3.wad in the wads folder into the SD card WAD folder <br />
3. Start Homebrew and go to the cIOS Installer and run it<br />
4. Go to the WAD Manager and install the BackupLoaderChannel0.3.wad (BackupLoaderChannel0.2.wad may need to be uninstalled) <br />
5. Run the game.<br />
6. I would also recommend installing the safe update 3.3u and not to do any official nintendo updates as it may stop further installs and updates if you use the wireless.

Problems ? try what blueyuk did :

uninstalled dvdx using wad manager <br>
then uninstalled ios 249 + ios 247 with any title deleter, <br>
and uninstalled backup loader channels with wadmanager.<br>
then i installed cios_fix wad,from the original zip v0.1 very bottom of this page and taz's signature<br>
then installed dvdx to ios249,<br>
then installed Loader_Channel0.1.wad.<br>
rebooted wii, tested 0.1 loader channel and booted patched quantum of solace pal, and it worked <br>.
then i went on to install ios 247, <br>
then installed WiiGeeLoaderios247-2channelsatonce.wad, <br>
rebooted and tested 0.3 loader with 1:1 monopoly pal, and that game worked. <br>
tested 0.1 with q.o.s. again and worked..both loaders working together..<br>

HELP!!!! I've tried the cIOS installer and at the end I get a 1017 error. Everytime that I've used the WAD manager to load a file I get a 20?? error. I'm running 3.2u and have the TP hack and HBC. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
