Hi,
After entering the files to be burned with Nero Express or Nero Burning Room (in this case pictures) - and before starting to burn - I was looking for some up and down arrows which would enable me to change the sequence of some of the pictures; however I dont see there such a possibility (neither did I see such in Ashampoo Burning stuff). Hence, I am looking for some other good burning programs, which would enable me to do so.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Most burning software I'm aware of seem to be hard wired to sort the files by name. I usually just rename the files. If you have a lot of files you can use a utility such as Bulk Rename Utility that can auto number a prefix for each filename to lock in the sorting. You end up with 001MyPic.jpg 002Apic.jpg etc..

That's the only way I know to force burning apps to do it in the order you want.

Hi, Miles Ashed,
In the past, when wanted to burn discs consisting of just a few items, I used to solve the problem by numbering the items. However, recently, when I wanted to burn a disc consisting of a large number of images, I thought there must be some burning program that enables to move the items up and down; and indeed - upon cyprusrom's advise -I have sold the problem by installing and using the free burning program, ImgBurn, which enables to move the files up and down.

Anyway it's good to know about the Bulk Rename Utility and I thank you very much

Guess it depends on how many files is "a lot" to drag & drop. Also if the stand-alone has a menu system built-in will it go by burn order or will it sort by name? Depends what you are using what works best.

(Your link was dead so I couldn't look at your equipment btw)

Hi,
In the case which brought me to look for an other wburning program I had 30 jpg files. I could, of course, number them (or add A B C at the beginning of each name),however, I thought there must be a more logic alternative. At the time I didn't know about the Bulk Rename Utility; and that's why I was looking for a burning program that enables to move up and down the items. I should add, that sometimes after numberring the items and putting them in the burning program, one decides to make one or more changes in the sequence. Therefore, I thing, that as long as there is a good burning program which enables to change the sequence of the items to be burned (and especially if its free), it's preferable.
Thanks again
