trying to softmod fat ps2 v1.1 no luck

my name is bigred and i have a lot of files for softmod on my mem card and i dont have network adapter i tried rename exploit.max to exploit.ps2.max and gameshark 2 v5 wont let me transfer save and i have action replay max not evo and it wont recognize my flash drives which they are both sony microvault and one has usb support 1.1 the other doesnt just 2.0 and my trigger disks are nfl blitz 2000 and final fantasy 1v my prob is this nothing happens unless i put in gameshark and flash drive with all the exploit files on it that you can think of it just hangs thank you so much for reading.....

Did you try this tutorial.

Your exploit save file has to be renamed to .ps2, there is no .max at the end of it.

The tutorial explains how to change your settings in Windows to properly rename the file.

Also don't put the usb device in until Gameshark is loaded or it will freeze.
