Well i have a ps3 connected with a marrantz amplifier , now when i play dvd movies on the ps3 , some of them after a while the amplifier goes to stand by , however this happens only with movies and not games , any help ? thanks

Mayby this is due to the ps3 going to sleep as you haven't touched the controller for a certain period of time. Just curious, how do you link to your TV. If it is HDMI then make sure that the HDMI is set to transfer your audio signal. Also make sure that your HDTV has a secure connection with the audio plug. Other than that can't help you with much more unless you post back with more details.

Well the ps3 is conected through hdmi to the amplifier and then to the tv , i have this problem when i play movies on dvd-r , the originals play just fine :S
