my name is grady and i need a hand with utorent
im always stuck at below 10kp/s and it just wont go up
the only time i can ever make it go higher unless i randomize the port in prefrences, but all it does is make it take longer.
i have-
-128kb adsl/cable
-u torrent version 1.5.1
-no router:(
Not much more than that if 128 is your upload speed, 16 kb is the max. Depend's on lot's of factor's, number of seed's, number of peer's you're connected to and how much they have completed compared to you, your ISP,etc. Is utorrent configured correctly at options>speed guide>connection type? Take this speed test and divide your upload by 8 and enter that in connection type at the number closest to yours: http://www.speedtest.net/ Set a port over 10,000 and uncheck randomise port if you wish but it shouldn't make any difference with no router. Use Protocol Encryption too: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/395674 Why such an old version of utorrent, if a Security issue, Filehippo has versions that can be used. Up to 1.6.1, v 474 were before the new owner and even that's getting dated.
