Problem with Case Wiring and Power Supply

EDIT: Ok, so I connected everything correctly, when I plug in the power cord into the psu and hit the power switch, it doesnt even turn on...i turned on the psu and made sure everything was connected properly...I think it might be the case that the psu may be broken...

Have you actually connected the case's power switch to the motherboard correctly?

i actually tested the psu on a different computer and it works perfectly...i think it is now either the case switch connectors or motherboard that is not working properly

It sounds to me like it's either a faulty motherboard, or you haven't actually got the power switch hooked up right. Remember, the coloured wire is the positive (even if it's black), the white is negative.

The power switched is hooked up right, I'm am 100% sure of that. So is it the case where I have a faulty motherboard?

1) Make sure you've connected the wire from the power button in your case to the right place on your motherboard, a power supply won't turn on by itself, it needs a motherboard to start it. At least with my PSU it didn't do anything when I plugged it into the wall by itself.
2) If the PSU starts up when you hit the power button but the rest of the computer doesn't make sure you've hooked up two major sets of cables from the PSU to the motherboard. If you only have the larger 18-pin(or whatever the number is) plugged in you'll likely only get an LED lighting up on the mobo but it won't turn on.

Doesn't sound like it's likely either case though as those are both things that would be problems when using it with another computer. Looks like it's time to call up the manufacturer.

I did connect the 24 pin connector to the correct spot as well as the 12V connector. The case switch connectors are in the right place on the motherboard and they are plugged in the correct order...including positive or negative components. I'm thinking of using a multimeter to test each part so i can identify the broken component...or I'll try to take out everything and installing each thing again. I'm still pretty sure something is wrong with the motherboard.

Problem solved...it was ridiculous...i just had to unscrew a corner screw to the motherboard...
