I have a problem I downloaded a movie on limewire and it comes up as a AVI file and when I goto play it on windows media player it says C00D119A windows cannot play this file is there anyway to play it?

Download the tool Gspot and use it to examine the
codecs in use. If it's difficult to interpret, post a screen
shot here.

Do I goto system then list codecs and other filters and do I just examine the movie?

When I did the scan on the movie this is what came up codec XVID
Name XviD 1.1.0 final
Status Codec (s) are NOT INSTALLED

It sounds as if you need to download the xvid encoder.

I used Gspot program and now it comes up as codec XVID
Status Codec are installed and now it says on media player content blocked this media file can only be played with the equal software. please visit movie-help.com to unblock but when I goto that site nothing comes up what else can I do?

You downloaded a bad copy of the movie unfortunately.
This kind, where you have to install a third party decoder,
should be avoided at all cost. Usually spyware.
