I have a Wii that I have had for over a year now. It's never been attached to the net and never updated. It has a Wiikey that came with the console. It has always worked great on all my backup games. I now just got the new Aerosmith Guitar heros game and when I put the disk in it says it must update my console and if I have any modifications it might be problems. My question is, is it safe to take the update? This is a disk I just bought and not a backup. Thanks for any help.

So long as the game is from the same region as your wii and you don't do any homebrew its safe to update.
