This is hopefully something very easy...
When I start the box (with the new firmware from a few days ago - thanks whoever did that!), the language selection screen comes up then the main menu. Don't mind this when sitting at it, but using it via Slingbox I can't do anything with it.
How do I tell it there isn't a chance I want to have the menus in fkn Suomi?? :-)
Cheers,
Ferg.

The normal procedure is to select english or whatever language you need IF its available with the remote control then follow any further on screen options.

You should be ok to press the select ok (round button between the arrow buttons) on the slingplayer remote control ( I am using pvr-basic remote control) and this should result in an enter key being sent.

Thanks for the replies guys, but you kinda missed the point.
This is okay the FIRST time after I flash it, but with the old firmware at least, it would just show the last viewed channel as soon as I switched it on.
And I can press OK with the Slingbox, but then it comes up with the main menu, which I can't exit from! :-(
Does it do the same for everyone using this firmware (give you the language option then go to the main menu)?

I tried the new firmware last night and it works in that is cracks the channels straight away but it does indeed have the issue of the language question at the start of each power up.
I also couldn't load my channel list as well as a couple of other minor problems already mentioned in other posts (epg etc)
But well doen to the guys who worked on it so fast.
I rolled back to the previous firmware and loaded my channel list and I will keep updates the codes until another firmware comes up and if it doesn't then I will probably load it and live with it in a while.
thanks

If your having problems with the new firmware, this is the only way to go.

Out of interest, has anyone noticed that either the codes have not been rolled since last Thursday or the previous firmware that I am still using (as per my previous post this in this thread) is working again?
Have the boys at virg just given up changing the codes??
