Hey I just bought a Psp-2000 not 2001 and I try to use the despertar cementerio on it and it doesnt turn on. The Psp turns on (well at least the psp light goes green but the screen never turns on. I know it works because I used it on my bros and it turned out excellent. I am almost certain that I cannot use batteries on this type of psp. So that been said. Isn't there any other way to install custom firmware on the psp besides that one?

Firmware Database: Psp-TA-082>2.71>3.11 changed 2.00>1.5>3.10OE-A>3.30OE-A>1.5>3.30OE-A>1.5>3.40OE-A

to be honest i don't think you should bother getting custom firmware. it is a waste of time, illegal and damages your psp. it is too risky. if you really just can't be asked to carry around umds then get the update to 5.00. if you do you can acess the sony store and get games on your memory stick legally. but you have to pay.
If you don't want to pay (cheapscape) then there isn't much I can do.
PS: No offence taken mate. And I live in England and uses the English firmware. Hope it helps.

anything involving firmware is risky. you risk updating the psp in official firmware; custom firmware is the same thing, except safer.

if the psp has 4.01 or higher out of the box, it has the ta-088v3 mobo. nothing you can do about it.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

like i said...
the DATEL LITE BLUE TOOL BATTERY can hack the v3

however, i do agree that custom firmware is safer to update to...
